MoodLog Privacy Policy
We aim to keep your logs on your device and give you a clear, revocable choice before data leaves it.

Your Records
Mood, time, tags, and notes are stored on your device by default. Only after you enable iCloud sync with MoodLog Pro are they saved to your private Apple iCloud database. A backup is created only when you choose to export one.
How Cloud AI Uses Data
Cloud AI receives mood, time, tags, and statistical summaries calculated on your device by default. Your notes are sent with analysis requests only if you enable “Send Note Text.” Requests also include a random installation identifier for rate limiting and duplicate-request prevention. They do not include your name, email, advertising identifier, contacts, location, or HealthKit data.
AI Provider and Cross-border Processing
AI requests are routed through MoodLog’s service to DeepSeek to generate instant responses, insights, and weekly reviews. The related data may be processed or stored on servers in China. MoodLog does not sell this data or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Retention and Deletion
MoodLog’s server does not create a mood-record database or persist raw AI requests. To prevent duplicate generation over a short period, responses and irreversible request digests may be kept in memory for up to 24 hours. AI results and AI memories are stored on your device and can be deleted in Settings. Withdrawing AI consent stops future transmission and rotates the random installation identifier. The model provider handles received data under its own policy.
Apple Services and Subscriptions
Subscription purchases and payments are handled by Apple through StoreKit; MoodLog does not receive your Apple ID or payment-card details. When you use Pro AI, the app sends an Apple-signed subscription transaction to MoodLog’s service. It contains the product, expiration date, and transaction identifiers and is used only to verify Pro access. iCloud data is handled under Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
Your Choices
You can leave cloud AI disabled, turn off note-text sharing, delete AI results or mood entries, turn off iCloud sync, or export a backup. Notifications are used only for log and review reminders after you grant permission and can be disabled in System Settings at any time.
Scope of Use
MoodLog is for personal self-reflection. It does not provide medical or mental-health diagnoses and is not a substitute for professional help. If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services immediately.
